Hermessence Oud Alezan by Hermès is a majestic and highly intimate Oriental Floral fragrance for women and men, launched in 2024. Created by Hermès in-house perfumer Christine Nagel, the scent was inspired by a deeply personal memory of the warm, animalic aroma of a chestnut horse’s neck (an "alezan" horse). This is the first time the Hermessence collection has centered on oud, presenting it with a refined, European elegance. The composition features a high-quality, enveloping oud paired with a "duo of roses"—combining the delicate, airy freshness of rose water with the sharp, metallic brightness of rose oxide to create a scent that is both powerful and incredibly sophisticated.
