Developed by Master Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, this fragrance has become a global cultural phenomenon, defining a new genre of "transparent gourmands." It is celebrated for its poetic alchemy, where the aerial notes of jasmine and the radiance of saffron are faceted by ambergris and woody cedar.
The fragrance is renowned for its "haunting" and mineral character. It opens with a delicate, spicy warmth from Saffron, leading into a heart dominated by Amberwood and Hedione, which creates a shimmering, ozonic effect. The dry-down is exceptionally clean and professional, anchored by Fir Resin and Ambroxan, resulting in a unique "burnt sugar" and "salted amber" trail that persists with incredible elegance.
